Sir, if k =[C]c[D]d/[A]a [B]b; then in H2 + I2  2HI; why we take k=[2HI]2/[H][I] instead of [HI]2/[H][I] ?

Sir in common ion effect why don't we consider effect of HCl on H2O ? also pl. give information on activation energy.

Why do we consider common ion effect of HCl on H2O & not of H2O on HCl in case of when ph of HCl is 7?
