most foolproof method is to write Kirchoof's eqns for the 2 loops ..... i.e. say i1+i2 current is withdrawn from the battery and say i2 goes into the RC branch .. so find i1 in terms of i2 using loop eqns and then put i2=dq/dt and integrate ..............

ALT (this method is applicable for very limited no. of q's .. like above one)
u know time constant for a charging circuit and the corresponding discharging circuit is same .. so u can short the battery and find equivalent resistance (Req) and find time constant , tao= Req*C

plz do refer a physical chemistry book for good practice of numericals.. i'm following the brilliant tutorial's notes (Elite course) .. is that enuf for physical chemistry practice or do i need a proper textbk ??
