If integration of type...... dx/ax2 +bx+c
let find first del= b2- 4ac
i) del < 0 then i.e (-ve)
I =2/ tan -1 (ax2 + bx+c /

Alcoholic drink ethanol that has been denaturated by the addition of methanol.... Methanol is oxidies to form formic acid, which may cause blindness & death... Dogs are often poisoned by sweet-testing ethylene glycol which is metabolised to oxalic acid causing kidney failuer which leads to death....

* Industrial source of ethanol is mainly by fermaintation. * C12H22O11 + H2O --------------- C6H12O6 +C6H12O6 MOLASSESS GLUCOSE FRUCTOSE
* C12H22O11 + H2O -------------- 2 C6H12O --------------------------- 2 C2 H5 OH + 2 CO2 MALTOSE GLUCOSE
* Rectified spirit is 95% ethanol.
1 00% ethanol is called absolute alcohole & obtained from rectified spirit. * Medically ethanol is an hypnotic................. it is less toxic than other alcohols. * Ethanol is industrial solvant

1* SN1 reaction are faster in the more polar solvant. 2* SN2 reaction involving a negetive nucleophile is slower in more polar solvant & solvant that involving neutral nucleophile is faster in more polar solvant. 3* In addition to these polarity effects, the ability of certain solvants to form hydrogen bonds to the nucleophile also affects the rate of SN2 rection. Such solvants are termed as protic solvants & have hydrogen bonded to nitrogen or oxygen ( e.g H2O, R-OH are protic solvants.) Especially smaller anaonic nucleophiles are strongly bonded to the solvant molecule in protic solvants. This make nucleophile less reactive Aprotic solvants (acetone) increses reactivity of .nucleophiles & are favarable of SN2 reactions because they can't hav hydrogen bond to nucleophile.
