Tell me what Violence has got ?
A Vietnam where there were so many bombs dropped and shells planted, that a massive part of the country was closed for public access due to fear of people going dead. Even today, farmers are dying regularly.
Or Iraq ? Every day 50 people die and terrorists are coming strong again.
Or Afghanistan ? Less the said the better.
Killing might give you the feeling that you are moving forward, but it is never the decisive solution. Just a neutron which keeps on triggering chain reactions. Ultimately, it is peace only which plays the final decisive part. If that were not so, North Korea would be involved in a massive nuclear war with the US. And I doubt we would be sitting here. It is peace only which has prevented the our destruction til now.
It is not a question of proving a point. We should always look at the final picture. And that final picture , going by Violence's side, is going tobe gory and filled up by blood, ours and our enemies'.

Absolutely second you. Violence could not get us independence at that point of time by any means.

I am using America and ** examples to prove that Violence never wins anything worthwhile. One might get ones aggression out or feel like all fired up but "permanent, consistent, and acceptable" solutions are brought through Gandhian thoughts only.
It is a chain reaction. You slap someone . He will slap you back. and it goes on. You might feel good because you feel you are fighting for your rights. But from third person view, you are just fighting forever.
And Violence could not defeat British at that point of time man. What were we at that point of time in terms of force. A 2 crore population france can destroy a 15 crore population Bangladesh. Maybe not now.because of UN and all the cross-country relations but at that point of time, there were very few people British were answerable to.
Violence couldnt work then and it didnt either.

You talk about Violence as a means of freedom ?
Give me ONE ....yes you heard it right...give me ONE example where violence lead to peace. Do not confuse domination by peace. Peace is where there is no tension and the environment is acceptable by every section without any conflictory feelings.
Did America did it in Vietnam ? or how about Afghanistan ? or Iraq ? Bombing and killing is not a solution. That way everything will perish. Then what do you want freedom for ?

Our freedom struggle was of 40 years + and Bhagat singh was there for 2 effective years. If you have read history, you will know that it were Gandhian thoughts which pushed British out. Killing 2 policemen in Kanpur and 4 in Vadodra doesnt push a complete empire with 4 million soldiers out.
Maybe you need to grow up.

Gandhi of course. Bhagat Singh's ideology was more effective in short term. It would never have got us independence that we have today, only violence and nothing else. Gandhi's didnt have so much impact in it but it was the only ideology which could work in a permanent manner.

Atleast for your own sake.If you think, you are God and noone else has the right to make mistakes, be happy with it. You have many times treated people like shit if they made a mistake. Uff !

I dont understand how a college which has nothing but make-shift profs and no proper campus and no seniors and no tradition but only the name IIT on paper with it compare with old and established instis like BITS. Dude, people leave IIT after 2300-2400 ranks for BITS and DCE/NSIT and just because the govt has opened up these new iits and given you an opportunity to be called an "iitian" , it doesnt get bigger than BITS. Just go for BITS. IIT Patna is not worth it.

IIIT Hyd CS..placements...faculty...being in IT hub of India...talk of any damn thing...and please stop talking baseless without facts. Talk facts else dont misguide him. Bring the faculty f both colleges, placements, research..city environment..
Edit: I am too tired of this. IIIT Hyd CS is best thats why its 100 so seats close within 1450 rank in aieee which has all IIT giving people competiting too. And IIIT Hyd CS is much harder to get than bits goa cs too. I am realyl tired arguing uselessly here. I am out. for the final time.
