The formula that we have learnt for calculating pH of a solution is

But this formula is only valid for a particular range of the strength of acid / base. It is, infact, an equation obtained from another equation after applying the assumption that the solution is relatively dilute. As the solution becomes more and more concentrated, we need to consider another equation which is well beyond the course of JEE.

See, the thing is that your level at X std. does not matter much. I've seen CBSE toppers not qualify, and I've seen those who were average upto X get under 100. Of course you can try, but don't think you'll definitely get it - it's a matter of luck for most. As for your original question, I think Brilliant Material is a bit insuffucient if you're using only that. You'll need a good test series and lots of books also - here's my list of books: http://www.goiit.com/posts/list/community-shelf-the-jee-guide-72019.htm

For the purpose of clearing IIT JEE, CBSE textbook is enough for concepts, alongwith HC Verma and I. E. Irodov for problems

It is clear that the relative velocity will only be perpendicular to the axis

1 / v + 1 / u = 1 / f

so,

v = uf / u+f

I = O v / u

I = (0.5 cm) f / (f + u)

dI/dt = -(0.5cm) f / (f + u)^2 * du/dt

Putting f = 40 cm and u = -30 cm, du/dt = 4cm/s,

|dI/dt| = 0.8 cm/s = v

This is the speed with which one image will approach the principal axis. However, since we want relative velocity, we need the double of v which is 1.6 cm/s

Well.. i wouldn't say Kirchoff's law is applicable just for electrostatic electric forces... because first of all, there is nothing like "electrostatic" in a circuit. Charges are flowing through a resistance, and they might as well flow through an inductor! Kirchoff's law is based on the fact that these forces (not necessarily electrostatic!) are conservative, so net potential drop in a loop is zero. now, in an inductor, magnetic forces are present, but they too are conservative, so they can come under kirchoff's rule too!

I request others to comment upon this please!!

Rejoice, O mortals!

For Jesus sends a divine thing!

Joy blooms within like petals

Of a flower in vivid spring.

Oh! What beauty I behold!

Earth hath not seen before

Into it's world it doth enfold

Fools who heed the tales of yore.

No! I must resist

The temptaions galore.

Though dream I must day and night

Of the enlightenment in store.

Oh Lord! I plead and bow,

Do not torture me so!

Grant my wish upon my brow

I desire the iPhone. Lo!

My wish is granted,

We are truly blessed!

Jesus smiles upon us,

I, you, and all the rest.

The wait has ended,

The journey concluded;

Years and months of pain,

Bear fruit in our stead

The iPhone descends amongst us.

We attain nirvana again!

Just an impromptu poem I wrote yesterday :D

correction in above post-
dl = dx sec 6t, not sec A

2] probable solution -
consider a small length dl of the curve. We have
dl = dx sec A, where tan A = dy / dx (draw a triangle and confirm this)
Now,
dy/dx = (dy/dt) / (dx/dt)
hence tan A = tan 6t (obtained by differentiating y and x wrt t and substituting values of dy/dt and dx/dt)
so we have
dl = dx sec A
putting dx = 24 cos 6t dt, we have
dl = 24 dt
integrating from t = 0 to 5, l = 120 m

Lol... I beg to differ... I've both Vista SP1 and Xp SP3 on my PC. I dont find any peorformance differences (though that cud be coz my PC is a monster) but i find myself inclined to vista everytime i start the comp... the dreamscene background, refined start menu (especially the instant search function without which i cant live), gadgets, better and instant search and better hardware support really impresses me. Besides, microsoft just recently released an update which greatly improves compatibility.. i can now play freespace 2 on my vista which i cudnt do earlier. best option - have the two in dual boot mode..

:D well.. i havent heard that the orbitals dont overlap, but it might be true. and ya, i was talking of the third bond as the normal pi bond which is participating in resonance.. its the second bond which is the benzyne bond that we were discussing.. anyways, no use arguing abt out-of-course things, right?? (yes anant, benzyne is out of course)

see tarin.. by your logic, it means that there are *TWO* sigma bonds, which you know very well is not possible. The two carbon atoms will have sp2 hybridisation. One orbital will form the sigma, the other will form the benzyne pi bond. the third bond, which is a normal pi bond, will be formed by pure p orbitals and will be involved in resonance. Now, how can u say the benzyne bond is sigma??
