P(A)=0.5
P(A
B)
0.3
P(A
B)= P(A)+P(B)-P(A
B)
If we take P(B)=0.9
then 0.3=0.5+0.9-P(A
B)
i.e. P(A
B)=1.1
which is not possible since probability cannot be more then1
so, P(B)
0.9
i hope its right!!!!

since angle between a and b is acute, therefore a.b >0
(xi-3j-k).(2xi+xj-k)>0
2x
2
-3x+1>0
(2x-1) (x-1)>0
therefore, x <1/2
x>1 ...(i)
we are also given that angle between b and y-axis is obtuse
that is, (2xi+xj-k).j<0
x<0 ....(ii)
from (i) and (ii)
x<0 is d answer!!!!!
