I appreciate ur feeling as i myself is a self studying student.i have never joined any institute (classroom coaching) still i cleared AIEEE & UPSEE in 2007.But my will to go to IIT have made me to drop this year.Well i can tell u about the books that i study(I am pretty sure that i will get into IIT).

1-For Physics, concepts learning is a must , so u can not get any book better than INTERACTIVE PHYSICS by MTG PUBLISHERS.Well this is a 8 volume book covering different topics of physics written by a group of teachers. To test just buy vol.1 & read it & u will definitely find it amazing!!

as there are many other things that i have to tell, u can just mail me at-

& i will solve all ur problems regarding self study as i myself is a follower of that one.

rate me if usefull.

Why Cp is used only when pressure is constant(isobaric conditions) but Cv can be used even if the conditions r not of isochoric ??

in a 4 stroke engine , there are 4 steps that the engine performs before the whole cycle completes.that's why it is called as a 4 stroke engine.it is somewhat like the 4 steps in carnot cycle i.e.adiabatic expansion, adiabatic compression, isothermal expansion, isothermal compression(not in order).

hope it will solve ur problem,so plzzzzzzzzzz...... rate me.

Well u will b well aware of the fact that speed of light is a universal constant. it remains as it is anywhere in universe . so if u define 1 m=1/distance travelled by light in vaccum in 1s, it will remain constant anywhere.neither it will depend on temperature,pressure,e.t.c. & it is the prime need that the unit shouldn,t change with conditions & so we use such a cumbersome figure.

i hope u will get it.so plzzzzzzzzzzzzzz....  rate me for my effort.
