the atomic radii of flouorine is almost nearer to that of neon......flourine has a very compact 2p orbital....there is greater nuclear attraction hence....

on the part of neon due to complete filling its also too compact ...more over atm radius decreases moving l to r in periodic table....and so there is very light difference ......that is F-72 and Ne-71

the continuous emission spectra is obtained from filaments ,,carbon arcs....the continuous spectrum must consist of all the colours from violet  to  red.....

then how is this possible that" When a pure green glass plate when placed in the path of white light,absorbs everything except green and gives continuous absorption spectrum?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
