neeraj: minimum is when sin-1x = pi/4 ..
maximum is when sin-1x = - pi/2

Ans: assertion & reason r rite and reason is correct explanation.

the unionised F- reacts wid the HF.. this forms HF2- (as stated in the qsn)

and due to le-chatelier's principle, the equilibrium for the reaction

                      HF    H+  + F-

is shifted to the right as F- is getting depleted.

and hence, HF will furnish more H+ ions, thus increasing the acidity

it depends on the type of connecting medium..
if its twisted pair, then 50-100..
otherwise, >100 is enough

yes, but note in that link you gave me, there is the presence of HCl in the reactions..
without that HCl , the reaction wont take place as i've mentioned in my above post :)

4. D
everything else has an O - O linkage

6.

NC-CC-CN
hence,
6 pi bonds and 5 sigma bonds

@varshavallig: nitrosation happens only in the presence of a strong acid because then only will an NO+ ion be formed.
so i think your answer is wrong.

but if there was a strong acid like H2SO4, then your answer is right coz of the powerful +R grp N-(CH3)2 present, which is the other necessary condition for nitrosation :)

ha ha.. nice one einstein :D

but by intuition, me thinks the answer should be an isoceles triangle..
so answer is 75 degrees
Catalogs Discussion Forums -> Analytical Geometry -> LOCUS OF A CENTROID. -> Go to message
This Post 4 points    (Olaaa!! Perrrfect answer.   in 2 votes )   [?]
let centroid be (h,k)
h = (sin@ + cos@ + 1)/3

k= (sin@ - cos@ + 2)/3

=> 3h - 1 = sin@ + cos @
and
3k-2 = sin@ - cos@

square the 2 equations and add them
we get:
(3h-1)^2 + (3k-2)^2 = 2

so locus of centroid is:
(3x-1)^2 + (3y-2)^2 = 2
which is a circle of centre (1/3, 2/3) and radius (rt2)/3
:)

required area is the shaded area in the figure..
by symmetry, area is

-2  [0][1] lnx dx = -2[xlnx - x]o1

do lhospital for x-->0 xlnx

the answer turns out to be 2 sq units

somebody KILL ME!! :( :(
i forgot to take combinations of 3 or more x power terms!
so sorry akhil, but youve to consider  -1*-2* -4 also
so answer is 13!
