BITS might be the best college eva(hypo), but still go for NIT, it gives u hidden advantages that u dunno right now

depends on ur interest, i read in the newspaper the other day that if u take IIST then u will be completely funded and will be given a book grant of Rs. 2000 (somebody plz citate) + ull be learning one of the best subjects (astrophysics/aerospace) + they give assurance of being taken into ISRO if u fulfil min criteria, i've seen IIST dudes get into UCB on a 100% scholarship !!!! BITS is cool but then if i were u n i got an opportunity for IIST, i would not let go of it till the very end

why do engineering at all ? secondly, IIT brand is higher but no one cares when it comes to MBA , i could be from ABC College with relevant work exp excellent CAT Marks and strong personality and get a better seat than an IITian with BTech in Metallurgy from IIT Indore(just an example) with work exp in metal extraction techniques...HBS/IIM don't care a damn as to where u r from if u have good percentiles and good personality and RELEVANT work exp (stress : RELEVANT)

i doubt the cutoffs would fall by 10 marks wrt to last year...even if they do, u will have to wait till the end round if u have as much patience, and no can predict accurately what branch u will end up with but then if u r hopeful of admission into the college, i think the best u can expect is an MSc...amendments could be made to ur degree once u join

if u r in national board (CBSE,ISC) then to each zone and if u r in state board, then for state topper

u might or might not , but then its not all that bad to take a MSc Dual and then shift later , bits is pretty flexible wrt to courses, even if u don't, i doubt MSc's are bad...
