it is always better to join a group rather than individual teachers
as they will provide you with jee oriented course material and best assistance but if you feel that the individual teachers are quite good then no drawback, the most imp aspect is to have full faith in your teachers
and for books you can have a look at the goiitian survey
my recommendation
chemistry ------------rc mukh , p bahadur , arihants organic chem., MCQ
mathematics--------tmh , ml khanna(for school purpose and concepts building), MCQ +any good question bank(probably arihants)
physics----------------G C agarwal from br bathla and sons(just have a look at this books its fantastic better than hc verma or resnick halliday but most ppl ignore it not quite famous, better buy a second hand book but definately go for it) OR h c verma , MCQ
plus buy some ques. bank like brilliant's Y G files are great
and don't buy too many books
don't buy the books i have stated simuntaneously but buy then in some span of time for eg you won't need oraganic chem. just now

for jee the hours of study doesn't matter i studied about 3 hours daily and got through but a basic intelligence matters but for a good rank in aieee u need to work hard atleast 4 to 5 hours daily but you don't need any inbuilt intelligence

go for iits man and don't even think about DCE , BITS or any other college before that and if you want comp. at any cost then try for bhu before DCE

go for any college as they are not much of your importance, better sit at your home as it would save your parents money

and bhu may get (quite probably) iit status by the time you complete your studies
so leave bits and now think about iit and bhu
and more over iit tag do help all through your life, it will give you a feel good factor and living at iits blossoms your parsonality

because of the small radius of the drops there terminal velocity is very less( prop. to r2) . they fall but very slow to get noticed

at that rank you won't get something very good in iit but i can assure you of those 3 lac an annum salary(you can get it easily in any engi. coll. in the country)
you will have to study mathmatics for first year and since you are selected in iit i don't think that your maths is that bad
if you are not interested in medical field and your aim is a good salary go for iit with any b tech course avaliable ( don't go for msc). medical in a difficult line with lots of studies and struggle before getting a good salary
i will advice you to go for any btech course in the best iits and then go for the courses in roorkee and guwahati
