I am definitely against ALL KINDS OF RESERVATION ON THE BASIS OF CASTE wherever it exists , especially in the IITs. I am really perturbed to see that some caste are provided all kinds of relaxations in each & every thing , I mean, just pick up & read d jee brochure man, these guys are really privileged ones...they will get relaxations in each & every thing- right from seats in the IITs to fees,branch changes & many-many other things.
I have no hesitation in admitting that I am jealous & feel hard done on seeing that a person with a lower rank than me will get a much-much better stream in IIT than I will just bcoz he is of sum particular caste. AND I AM SURE EVERYONE WHO HAS DONE THE HARDWORK BUT WATCHES SOMEONE WID LESSER RESULTS TAKE HIS SHARE WILL FEEL SO.ANYONE WID A LOWER RANK WHO GETS ADMN IN ABETTER BRANCH THAN ME DEFINITELY SNATCHES MY OPPORTUNITIES(howsoever the govt may fool arnd that it doesn't affect gen students & the inc in seats & all that crap.)Please , I don't mean to offend but that is what it is. & If these guys also believe in equal opportunities THEN IT IS THEY WHO SHUD OPPOSE THE GOVT.If reservation does exists , it shud b purely on economic grounds. I have seen many- many ppl who just enjoy these priviliges all their lives without any need or talent really.
Due to all this , I think that in this country, belonging to general category is a curse that wil torment u right thru ur life.
