thats a nice topic you have created.....and i think it does deserve a lot of attention from the outgoing batch ( which includes me )
sad to say that i haven't cleared.....but if you still like some advice, here is a piece of it:
try you best to avoid predictions. this is something very important i learnt out of writing the JEE twice. i dropped the year thinking that the experience i gained out of writing it once would give me an edge and tried to unneccessarily predict certain aspects of the question paper. this proved to be my biggest undoing, as my attempts itself were simply not enough.
it doesn't matter if it is coming out of a FIIT-JEE or KOTA or any other run-of-the-mill place, there is always a chance that predictions can go wrong ( most people who have appeared for JEE 2007 will agree to that )
i wish best of luck to all the upcoming aspirants and hope they don't get caught flat-footed like us.
