explain the use of Ag2O in Arndt Eistert reaction. I mean i know the reaction mechanism,no need to write that the use of SOCl2 forming RCOCl, formation of diazoketone using CH2N2,then loss of nitrogen in presence of Ag2O,then Wolff rearrengement......then on hydrolysis it gives the carboxylic acid. Just tell me why Ag2O is required to remove nitrogen.??

The intervals of decrease and increase of the function f(x) = e^x / x are respectively
( - , 0 ) ( 0 , 1 ) and ( 1 , )
Then which one is correct ,
a.) p.e^q < q.e^p if 0 < p < q b.) p.e^q > q.e^p if 1 < p < q
