The initial horizontal velocity of the explosive will be equal to that of the plane but, right from the next moment,the explosive will deaccelerate due to -
 
   (1)The air resistance
 
   (2)Lack of an engine-power to maintain constant horizontal velocity.
 
As such the explosive will be lagging behind the plane instead of remaining continuously underneath it.
 
Please clear my doubt.
