uuh ... the problem is pesit computer science seats in the main campus were totally full ... they said they could give me comp. in campus 4 which still seemed to be under construction ... also talked with some of the students and they were tellin me the faculty isi'nt too good there compared to the main campus...so i decided not to take a seat there ...
but dayanand isint that bad too right ?? i heard their computer and mechanical dept is very good ...

i didnt give comed-k if thats what u are asking...

but my home state cet ranking is 91.

think you should just stick to it and perfect it and the try out some new stuff if you get time ... dont go for too many new correspondence courses as i dont think you will get much time to master it ... as you will also have to put in a min amount of attendance required at the college ...

my state rank is 96 in aieee from sikkim and its mentioned that i am eligible for state specific and a.i. sc/st/obc counselling .
will i get nit ?? if yes, what streams ?

dekho ... if you really want to drop make sure u know what you are doing ... look ...its like either you gain everything or you lose ...well not everything but a full year ... and thats really no joke ...
if you are really sure of your ability to crack iit next year after dropping then do it ...its worth it ...but aieee i think you can also crack while doing college 1st year ....so take your step wisely ...

look the projections are never quite right so i think we should just wait for the results ...no point in getting a headache for no reason ...we've all done what we are capable of and our worrying now is not going to help in any way so no point in giving yourself a headache for something that can't be helped .

hi ! the cutoff is 60 % in the overall average, not pcm only .
and i dont think the cutoff will change next year and even if it changes i am sure there will be a one time exception to accomodate the droppers with only 60% for that year.

i think u need 60 % in the overall average ...
i don't think it is mentioned 60% in pcm anywhere.

you could call up the jee office to verify ?

i don't know in which place you would prefer but in kota, i think bansal and resonance are the best !
but if u are planning to join them, u'd better hurry to sign up for their entrance tests ... the test is on the 15th of june and covers both the 11th and the 12 th syllabus . the last date for regestering yourself for the entrance test is i think the 5 th of june but you verify it from their website .

is it the average percentage of only pcm or overall average of all the subjects, ie 6 subjects?

feeling really deressed ...please help...

am feeling really depressed... i have really messed up my iit this year and i really want to get into iit no matter what ...i have decided to drop a year and prepare for iit next year but the problem is there is absolutely no teacher or coaching institute to help me prepare for iit in my town ...there is not even a single teacher willing or capable to coach me for iit ... i asked a huge lot of them but all the teachers flatly admitted they had no experience to coach or guide anyone for iit ...some of you might tell me that self study is also possible but i tried that last year and here i am right now....i bought a cupboard full of books but got so confused on what to study without any guidance that i ended up hardly doing anything !!!

under these circumstances i want to join a good coaching institute in kota but i am really getting confused on how to prepare for their enterance!!! i have applied for bansal and resonance....

please help from which books should i use to prepare for these entrances?? keeping in mind the entrance test is on the 15th of june ...hardly a month away, please tell me the names of only the books i should prepare for and have a realistic chance of completing them in time ...!! is studying only the ncert or isc books enough to get through their entrance test ??help !!!!

dont worry ! as far as know, as puneet sir says u r perfectly allowed...u know even a good number of iit seats are filled by students who had taken a drop right ... i can't see them not ending up with jobs simply because they had dropped a year !! and i am sure it is the same case with all other institutes... it just depends on your scores ...just try to concentrate on your studies k..
