Is my ans correct ????

Suppose the light ray strikes the interface at about 89.999...... degree .The the angle of reflection will be 89.9999..... Thus angle of deviation is 2(89.999...) which tends to be 180

Can't deviation refer to the angle between incident and reflected ray (in this case)

IS the ans very nearly equal to 180 ???

Extend IH

IH = HD

in triangle IAD

HG ll AD

IH = HD

therefore ,G is midpoint of AI

THEN

I triangle AIJ

G is midpoint of AI

H is midpoint of AJ

Therefore , I J = 2 GH (midpoint theorem )

IJ = 2 * 0.3 = 0.6 cm
