friend i dont think u will get anything in dce
i dont knw anything bout ip so i cant say
and u might get some college but not that good in later counsellling sessions
if u have confidence in urself that u can do way better and is determined then u can take a drop otherwise it might not lead to anywhere but just make u miss another year of ur life
so only u can decide whats best for u

iitkgp wud be better than iitg
and branch change is not allowed for these courses
Both b.arch or b.des so u will have to do this only for 4 or 5 years
if you really have interest in these fields then only i would suggest u to take it.
Job prospects are not that booming when talking relatively with core branches of engineering.

these are true cutoffs
i am from chandigarh and dont live that far from pec
and i have seen the same cutoff list there so yeah
10k was the last person outside chandigarh to get any deptt last year
and this year its only going to rise.

iiit-h is what i would pick out of ur options
its a great new college with excellent living conditions (ac rooms)
and excellent infrastructure
and is taken by the top rankers of ai
so it speaks for itself and it would be better than anything else on ur table i think

It depends on your interests
u can get IIIT-H thru ur aieee
so if ur interested in that and do not want to compromise on ur branch then go for it
other than that u always have the iit tag waiting for u
at that rank u can decent departments but core branches will be out of your reach.
(except civil etc) so u should decide what interests u more.

and this year it is 5537
as fas as i know i dont think there has been an increase in seats in cs and elec
the increase in seats is due to 7 new courses in roorkee
and 3 new courses at madras

well it depends on ur interests
if u dont want to go for some branch of ur choice then u can go for iit coz u wont get core branches at iit for that rank
but as much i have heard u can get mech etc at dce/nsit wid that rank
so that might be a good option for u
other than that u might wanna wait and see what u get wid the ai rank
u can get good branches at some of the colleges thru ai as well
so the final decision wud be on u
personally i wud go for dce/nsit and/or wait for something out of aieee

92 marks means over a lakh rank
i dont think u get nit trichy at that rank
