the answer to first ques is d whenever Mg is oxidised carbon from coal reduces it to metal and gets oxidised to CO2

Greatdreams if a salt is formed and yet we have excess of acid or base, then the acid and base combine with water (formed during neutralisation) to give H2 and hence we get another exothermic reaction in this way the temperature should indeed increase further so c should have least increase
