Catalogs Discussion Forums -> Trignometry -> Is that true For every x>0, sinx<x and for every x<0, sinx>x?? -> Go to message

 yes.

Both functions y=sinx & z=x start at 0 at x=0

but check out their slopes

z'=1 but y' is 1 at x=0 and decreases after that. so the function z grows faster than y. hence x>sinx for x>0

you can apply similar logic for x<0

 the same ones you use for aieee+ ncert textbooks will suffice.

I recommend

physics: HCV + Resnick Halliday

Chemistry: NCERT+OP Agarwal

Math: NCERT+Any simple objective math book will do. Bitsat math is not that difficult.

 hmm. I would chose NIT raipur. ECE is a good branch, and this NIT is quite old, so you dont have to worry.

From my experience at BITS, I would also say meeting people from various parts of the country is another plus point. That is something you wont get in a local engineering college.

The only normal reasons I see anyone choosing some local college over an NIT are if your not getting a good branch or the NIT is very new (less than 4 years).

So go for the NIT. All the best! :)

 Its more expensive since it doesnt get funding from the Govt. However, fees are not 2.1lpa.. for my batch it is 66k for this sem (48k for tuition fees. rest for hostel, electricity and mess advance). Tuition fee has been increasing by ~10% for every subsequent batch. Check the bitsadmission site for more details.

But for Organic Chem in general, nothing beats Morrison Boyd

 if u mean AxB=BxA then angle betw them is zero because AxB= - BxA by def and both can hold true only if cross product is 0. ie AB Sint =0. (assuming A≠0 and B≠0)

 let normal=N

co-eff be x

therefore (N2x2+N2)=3N2 (normal and frictional forces are perpendicular)

{note net contact force= f+N }

x=(root2)

Coeff of friction is root2

 Dude, face the north and spread ur arms apart.

Your front faces north

your back faces south

your right arm points east

your left arm points west

Now look at your feet. your eyes will be pointing towards the centre of the earth. Its 3D, so I cudnt draw it in a 2D figure.
