so wats the difference

the reaction is a zero order reaction coz the rate does not change wid time as is the case wid zero order reactions

but the SiCl4 exist as crystal and for a substance to dissolve the hydration energy should exceed the sum of lattice energy + ionising energy
CCl4 is a non polar substance it has high ionisation energy but it does not exist as lattice structure and its lattice energy is quite low
