Catalogs Discussion Forums -> Electricity -> Is the work done when you enter a dielectric inside a capacitor conservative in nature? -> Go to message

Yes the work is being done by the the capacitor the total energy changes is happening from CV^2/2-----CV^2/2K.This is bcoz the fringing feild will be acting on the dielectric while being introduced resulting in mechanical work which is done by the capacitor.
But the conservative nature is never disturbed.

draw the charge and the potential graph as Q=CV (u can only undst.by drawing graph)
potential on Y-axis.it is a straight line of slope 1/C passing through origin.
consider an element dq
Energy given by battery(of potential V0) is (V0)dq.
But energy required is (corresponding V(v) on Y-axis)dq
V0>v So, there will be energy loss
And clearly u can see the above triangular area(formed by drawing parallel to X-axis) is half of total work done by the battery

in this questions we have 3 cases

x>1              (x/x-1)+x=x2/x-1             x not equal to 1

we get 0=0 i.e... true for all x>1

0<x<1              (x/1-x)+x=x2/1-x

we get x=0

x<0      (x/x-1)-x=x2/1-x

we get x=0

so solution is {0}U{(1,infinity)}. cheeeeeerrrrrrssss

 ur question is not clear yaar i took the two sphere has same centre and has radius R1,R2respectively.

when a sphere is earthed the pottential at that point is 0

hence V2-V1=V2=K(q1+q2)/R2

2)(1-i)n=(1+i)n

cis(-npi/4)=cis(npi/4)      (2n/2(1/rt2+i/rt2)n

2isin(npi/4)=0

npi=4m(pi)

n=4m

n should be multiple of 4.

HF,HCl,HI cannot be used in the peroxide effect.Since HF&HCl have high bond dissociation when compared to ROOR.The free radical cannot break HF,HCl bonds.In case of HI it is a powerfull reducing agent it destroys the oxidising power of ROOR.
hope u got it cheeeerrrrrrrrrsssssss

let f=2x/1+2x+1

dy/dx=df/dx(1/1+f2)

f(1+2x+1)=2x

df/dx(1+2x+1)+f(2xlog2)=2xlog2

find the value df/dx=2(log2)/9

f at x=1 is 1/3

dy/dx=(log2)/5

(1-3(sinxcosx)^2)=1/4

(sinxcosx)^2=1/4

(sin2x)^2=1

sin2x=+-1

hence x=(pi/4,3pi/4,5pi/4,7pi/4)

if iam right plzzz rate me cheeeeerrrsss

1)for first u r right for the first
2)its nothing but rate of change of velocity
a=6m/s^2 then velocity increases by 6m/s after every second

Take a gausian surface inside the conductor such that the radius is less than the original radius.Under electrostatic condition charge enclosed should be 0.
so $E.dA=0 E=0 ($=integral)

substitute y^2=4x in the 2nd equation

u get (x-1)^2=0

imply there r 2 roots but equal

so, the lines do not intersect but touch at 2points i.e.. (1,4) &(1,4)

hey i think so that the question should be limx-->1/alpha(sqrt.1-cos(cx2+bx+a)/2(1-Alphax)2)
then answer is (1/beta-1/alpha)1/alpha
