Well i recently came across a question on rotational-

A cylinder of radius r rolls without slipping over a horizontal plane . two points a and b at a particular instant are located on the cylinder. a on vertically top point and b on the right hand side edge of the diameter.

they asked to find the radius of curvature of trajectory of a and b.

the suggested method was of a cycloid. i dont know how to do it.pls help............also suggest an easier method if u have any

Simply write this function explicitly for the conditions x<2 and x>=2. plot the two solution sets on a number line and take the intersection.

Tell me if ya dont understand

Well quantum numbers are the solutions of the Schrodinger Equation-the possible energy states and corresponding wave functions for an electron are given by a set of three quantum numbers . these r principal quantum number , azimuthal quantum number and magnetic quantum number, later even the electronic spin quantum number was found.

You will come to know about thse gradualy but do not research too much about the schrodinger eqn, its beyond our scope

Let f(x)=(x-1)^4  * (x-2)^n, n belongs to N

a) max at x=1 if n is odd

b) max at x=1 if n is even

c) min at x=2 if n is even

d) max at x=2 if n is odd

ans=a,c
