I don't need to take your wordings , you will  see you didn't included the major point that the B field is outside the REAL SOLENOID.

FLUX leakage can be minimised by taking soft iron core.

RESISTANCELESS WIRES ARE USED IN IDEAL SOLENOID.

By the way you are junior to  me and I am studying the same engineering branch dealing them but these things are taught @ high school level.

cheers!!

megha you can detect B field and draw  B field lines just like E field lines but these lines actually don't exist they only give the direction and strength of field .

I think you are asking about monopoles,well monopoles do exist in the universe although not certain but they are not found on earth.

and the reason is yet to be discovered ,however scientists believe the safest bet is to believe magnetic monopoles exist in this vast universe and could be detected by particle detectors in SPACE PROGRAMS

My take

1. in ideal solenoid the coiling is done circular wise while in real life solenoid the coiling is helical .

Due to this there is always a magnetic field outside(due to the B field perpendicular to axis of solenoid) the solenoid which the ideal one lacks.

2. Flux leakage is also there but it depends upon the material upon which coiling is done thus soft iron core minimises the flux loss.

3.the ideal solenoid has resistance less wire thus no power loss but in case of real solenoid there is some resistance.

pls. feel free to discuss anything related about it.

how could one give priority to one branch and neglect the others importance as all are connected to each other,

So, try to get that branch which seems interesting to you.

the ans is H(3/2+1/n)

IMAGINE THE WATER AS A GLASS SLAB

THUS SHIFT IN THE IMAGE OF THE EYE=H(1-1/n)

THUS THE IMAGE OF THE EYE FROM THE MIRROR =(2H-H+H/n)=H(1+1/n) behind the mirror

distance b/w the fish and the mirror=H/2

thus the total srparation=H/2+H(1+1/n)=H(3/2+1/n)

cheers!!!

The bigger block is deacclerating wrt to the smaller block as friction coefficient b/w smaller block and bigger block is smaller than friction coefficient b/w bigger block and ground thus visualize .

We are dealing about the relative motion of the smaller block wrt the bigger block.

hey ! the error is in nm unit as I am outside the town so no scope of checking out units its obvious.

But, the answer is correct  as 9/6.2=1.45 hope this solved as well cleared your problem.

Whoa do you really need help or just want  to test other people's  knowledge.

Plz. post only those questions which you don't know /have difficulty ,its rather unwise to use it like this.

mine is very simple.

total force acting on bigger block M

f 1=frictional force due to smaller block in right direction=  umg/2

F=force applied on the bigger body

f2=frictional force due to bigger+smaller blocks treating them as system=   u(M+m)g

since sliding thus no net force acting on bigger block

(F+f1) - f2 = 0----(1)

thus deaccleration of the bigger body=(u(m/2+M)g)/M-----(2)

 a2=accln. of smaller body  with respect to bigger block=u(m/2+M)g/M -- ug/2 = u(M+m)g/2

since the smaller body starts from rest wrt to bigger block thus intial vel. wrt to block =0

thus ,

    L=a2t2/2

    t=square root (4ML /u(m+M)g)

how could you think a guy getting fat pay from BIT MESRA will go to feeble paid IIT!!!

Yes I have too joined BIT, do you know who teaches @ JIIT itz a third grade college plus the teachers r not cared about students project performance etc. check out the debate on NSIT forum

I have also undergone in these debates BUT if you think JIIT is greater than BIT patna then you are mistaken

and the biggest mistake is underestimating BIT 's FACULTY.

As far as hostels & facilities are concerned they are better than JIIT and teaching same as BIT MESRA.

But yes in terms of overall grading it does lags from BITS hyderabad but nowhere from thapar or JIIT.

path difference=D(u-1)t/d=distance b/w central max before applying paper and central max after appl. paper(1)

t=thickness of paper

fringe width after removing paper=D*(wavelength)/d   (2)

dividing 1 and 2 we get fringes passing

NO. OF FRINGES =(u-1)t /wavelength=90/6.2=15

I must tell you BIT MESRA PATNA CAMPUS is far better than even JIIT,it is even comparable to THAPAR.

I myself got offers from thapar(chemical) & BITS hyderabad MSc (chemistry) but i settled for BIT,bcoz BIT has a BRAND value plus you get a degree  of BIT MESRA  whose name even a layman knows,and as far as campus and infra are concerned I must tell you it is the best and teachers are from BIT MESRA itself .

               After IIT PATNA ,BIT PATNA is going to be the next big thing.So,by the way did you got BIT in 2nd counselling coz you don't even know your branch & how can you be sure of getting ECE as it is already full.

drift velocity=l/t

where t=average relaxation time

also,l=1/2(at2) and a=eE/me

vd=1/2(eE/m)t

if t-->0

then vz--->0 which is not possible as drift velocity is small but never tends to zero as it is a constant quantity.

Hope this was the solution.

Catalogs Discussion Forums -> Counselling Zone -> i find organic chemistry very difficult -> Go to message

Yes,IIT is very tough to crack in such short time,but I would give a personal advice that for organic chemistry just focus on the mechanism of reaction ,after studying 10-12 reactions you could straightway predict what the other reactions would be like.

For,+2 point of view organic is easy  ,before every chem exam you should have to study all the night before,

I remember when I was in doing prep. for +2 chem exam I virtually didn't slept at all for 2 days (revising) and I scored a decent 92 marks.

So, even when you will enter eng. you will have to face such  situations then you will have to sacrifice your leisure time bcoz if here you  don't understand organic then it is going to be much tougher in colleges.

So, don't get frustated just keep reading ncert .as far as foreign writers are concerned plz don't fall for them as they write books keeping in mind their nationals and it will more confuse you.

If needed help for jee,you will see that this year nothing tough was asked in chem, all were from ncert.

cheers!
