shru_itz2005, It's not necessary that you must be answered by a expert, because there are many members in GOIIT, that can solve the problem without the help of a expert...... I think you are new to GO IIT. This site is a place to discuss and not just to compel.... By the way, welcome to GO IIT.. Just rate me for my warm welcome........... Thank you.........

Anjishnu, mix=( 1n1 + 2n2)/(n1+n2), this formula is absolutely wrong..... correct formula is , mix=C pn 1+C p'n 2/C vn 1+C v'n 2 Joyfrancis, initially, I had made a mistake by not considering Cv in the denominator.... Sorry, it' was my mistake, but i have posted the corrected soln already..... Magiclko, regarding the proof can you please refer H. C. Verma part II page 75 Solved example 10... I will not be able to write the whole proof due to typing constraints....Please co-operate... If still you are unable to get , I will help you..... Thanks.....

Stud, your professor was correct.. Since density*Volume=Mass Therefore when volume is tending to zero, mass will also tend to zero..........

Joyfrancis you are absolutely wrong, Cp or Cv cannot be equal to 1.66, since it is in terms of R... Neelshv's formula is also wrong.... I have corrected my answer, now it is absolutely correct... Initially I had made a mistake by not considering Cv in the denominator... My formula is absolutely correct.. Hope you check it in H. C. Verma.... Ans.:-n1/n2=1/2 Soln.:- mix=C pn 1+C p'n 2/C vn 1+C v'n 2 For monoatomic gas, Cp=2.5R, Cv=1.5R For Diatomic gas, Cp'=3.5R, Cv'=2.5R 1.5=2.5R*n1+3.5Rn2/1.5Rn1+2.5R' 2 4.5n1+7.5n2=5*n1+7n2 therefore, 0.5n1=0.5n2 therefore, n1/n2=1/1........ Please rate for my efforts.... Thanx....

We know that, sin-1a+sin-1b=sin-1{asqrt(1-b2)+bsqrt(1-a2)} You may use the same for 3x/5 and 4x/5, where you can take a=3x/5 and b=4x/5 please rate me...

Deepak, it is not necessary ot convert into tan inverse........ It will be OK if you use directly sum of sin inverse..........

When you solve the equation you get, x=1 or x=-1 But, you also get another root as '0' when you solve the eqn.... therefore, x=-1,0,1 Therefore, correct answer:- A,B,C. If you want the soln please post the query... please rate me........ thanx

Force equation is a foolproof method.... But, by conservation of energy, you shld get your answer correctly... b'coz energy and force equation can be related to each by IInd or IIIrd kinematic eqn, where we can convert velocity in accln, vice-versa.... So,it doesn't matter, if you use either of them..... But, for special cases, it may differ.... If you are convinced, please don't forget to rate me..... Thanx

U=av^1/3 ncv T=av^1/3....... TV^-1/3=constant PV^-2/3=constant therefore n'=-2/3(Polytrophic Index) therfore c=R/n'-1-R/gamma-1....This is a formula to calculate molar heat capacity.... c=9R/2....... Hope I have got it right...... Please rate for my efforts.... Thanxs

him26.89, I would like to correct you, your answer is wrong... Ans.:-n1/n2=3/5 Soln.:- =C pn 1+C p'n2/n 1+n 2 1.5=1.66*n1+1.4n2/n1+n2 1.5n1+1.5n2=1.66*n1+1.4n2 therefore, 1/6n1=1/10n2 therefore, n1/n2=3/5... Hope it is correct....... Please rate for my efforts.... Thanx....

The sign is important.. If the magnitudes are only added, then you will get a wrong picture of the focal length. You must have realised it in a concave or convex lens experiment.... For micrometer screw gauge:- 1)L.C.= Smallest division on main scale/No. of division on main scale.=0.001cm 2)It consists of M.S.R. and C.S.R. 3) M.S.R is of 0.01 cm and C.S.R. is 0.001 cm. Thus, total reading=M.S.R.+(C.S.R.*L.C.) For Vernier Calliper:- 1)L.C.= Smallest division on main scale/No. of division on main scale.=0.01cm 2)It consists of M.S.R. and Vernier scale reading(V.S.R.) 3) M.S.R is of 0.1 cm and C.S.R. is 0.01 cm. Thus, total reading=M.S.R.+(V.S.R.*L.C.) Hope this solves your problem and if you have any further doubts, please post it.... Rajat,Best of Luck for IITJEE.. Please rate for my efforts.............
