first it will form MgBr C

CH, then with (CO2/ H3O+) , it will form

HC

C-COOH.

with HgSO4/H2SO4, it will form OHC-CH2-COOH

and further with Ag2O , it will oxidise to malonic acid ( HOOC-CH2-COOH )

because -OH group being poor leaving group can't be easily substituted by -CN group...

I think its liquid because of large vander-wall attraction between molecules

see, as water level goes down, distance between centre of mass of bob and point of suspension increase, so length of pendulum increses..so its time period...but as soon as bob is empty, C.O.M is again at its original position, so time period then decreases.
