How are the hostels of IIT-Kanpur.?

In the sense - the quality of infrastructure and hygiene.

I'm asking this just for Information because i found IIT Bombay Hostels filthy and nearly a sort of paid jail.

Is Computer Science in pilani possible with 362 marks

362 in BITSAT

Could I Know the name and state of the VITEEE topper (Just for information sake)

Any body knows the cut off for computer science and electronic.?

What sort of score can land me a computer science branch in BITS pilani, pilani.

Also pls tell the same for Electronics branch

I have scored 203 out of 240 in manipal.

Look, If you are IIT material and can bring any book and any complex question down to its knees only then take FINAR otherwise stay away from it.

I feel finar is way out of the course.

Out of solomon and morrisson generally students prefer solomon due to its concise and vast nature which makes it an ideal reference book.

Morrisson is slightly novelish. class XI student should stick with morrisson in the beggining and switch over to solomon if organic grows over them.

But above all these i feel the simplest and the most essential book for organic on your desk should be "Schaum's Outline" for organic chemistry.

It is a book with all essentials on orgainc plus a little more but with lots and lots of solved examples.

You could also have a look at "Reactions rearrangements and reagents" by S N Sanyal. See if the style suits you. Its only for 75 bucks.

To Sum it up i think you should take schaum (use it especially to cover organic in last 4 hours), and you could take solomon (mine went waste).However if you are interested in mundane number of organic questions then you could also consider ARIHANt ;-)..

The book is infact a very good repository of all the inorganic concepts and knowledge required by a student of class XI through to the Engineering Level.
The diagrams and explanations are concise and clear. each chapter of a group starts off with the industrial importance of the compounds of that group which makes for interesting reading.
The Content covered is pretty wide yet it does not feel too stretched. Lee's way of explaining is different from other foreign authors and suits IIT candidates.
The additional resources given at the end of each chapter are very good and exhaustive.
Overall I feel this book makes for a great knowledged reading experience and i think that JD Lee is to inorganic chemistry what Morrisson is to Organic.
I think it is slightly overpriced. a second hand copy for 320 something will be a steal.

This book is chock full with the widest variety of questions based on JEE pattern.

what more.? You even get a free cd on sending a letter to the publishers.

the CD contains an excellently developed software to allow you to take tests in all sorts of flexible manners you can imagine.!

This book is a must.
