In emf calculations emf is energy change per unit charge. So it is energy change per electron for silver as well as zinc. So you are not reruired to multiply Ag potential by 2.

Hi Sanjay, your statement that KE of a car is four times its speed is dimensionly incorrect. You can't compare the magnitude of energy and speed (they are different physical quantities).

There is no point compering KE of a car or earth when it travels at speed of light. A car or earth can NEVER travel at speed of light

As far as relation between angular speed and KE is concerned
KE =(1/2)(omega)^2 and as pointed earlier you can't compare speed with angular velocity

HI Prateek. I am sorry for this delayed reply and you ppl have discussed quite a lot of physics in between. But as far as your orignal question goes, I think sss has given a perfect reply in his first post. You can't apply L=I*omega in this case

Electromeric effect is the temprory polarisation that appears in a multiple bond when a reagent approaches it.
Now it is not clear to me as what do you want to be proved

physical meaning os omega is rate of rotation. Suppose if a body complete one rotation in 1 sec and other does the same in 0.5 sec then it means that omega of first is less than that of second.

For physical example you must have seen that in ice skating when dancers fold there hands and legs there rotation speed increases. This is because of decrease in moment of inersia. Simillar is the case of divers diving in swiming pool. In order to rotate faster in air they fold their body to decrease there moment of inertia

Asvin I don't thick your answer of -0.95 is exactly correct (Though it is approximately correct) I think second case it should be -20/21 as solved by raman. Good work raman

I hope in this problem circle and parabola are non intersecting.

From centre of circles O, drop normals on parabola.(There can be three such normals). Let it intersect parabola normaly at A1 A2 and A3. Let B1 B2 and B3 be points where circle intersects A1O,A2O and A3O internally.

The shortest distance between circle and parabola will be minimum of (A1B1, A2B2 and A3B3)

I don't think it will ever be zero. Magnetic force will always be repulsive. What can be possible attractive force. And dear truly what is this q in your answer

Hi Amaron how can you take r=L in your analysis.

I think there is something wrong with Neerajs problem. Because magnitude of acceleration will always be less than g. Acceleartion of g is possible only in free fall and is impossible for such hinged rod

Hi Vish, The potential energy of particle will depend on the type of wave you are taking (It will be different for wave in string, sound in air, sound in solid or wave on water surface) Please tell me which wave you are talking about (I think its wave in string) and at what position do you want potential energy (As potential energy will depend on position).
Also tell what is dy in your expression
