How are the placements of cse at IP colleges like GTBIT,NIEC,BPIT etc.

If u want to do ms from abroad then manipl should be your best choice.But a better choice could be to join mait and prepare side by side for jee and bitsat 2009.If u get into iit's or bits u will be exposed to many more opportunities.

If I was in his shoes I would hav preffered MAIT beacuse it is in Delhi.And being in Delhi one can prepare better for cat.But he has to decide thinking about what he wants.

IGIT cse is a great option and I don't think anybody is actually intrested in environmental.If you can study env. then in ur case dce may be a better option.As far as dce civil u can't make it.

I think your best bet will be cse at bpgc which u r likely to get in the final iteration.Or u can also go for nit calicut cse.

I think your best bet can turn out to be cse at IGIT.Go for it.

Let's collect all the reasons why amity is considered so bad and we will simply post this link when someone asks about amity and compares it with any other institute.SO goiitians start writing the bad things about amity and good things if any.

I would say go for mait because it is growing at a rapid pace and in many terms it is far ahead than manipal like placements,intellectual capital.But manipal is also great because it is already well established and has great foreign links.But overall I think both the colleges are equal but manipal is stagnating and MAIT is increasing at a very rapid pace.Also I know about many of my friends who have easily made it to manipal cse but failed to make it to any course in mait.That clearly speaks of it's intellectual capital.Also manipal is very famous for not so good reasons.But if you are really dedicated and can stay away from your family for 4 years and stay away from bad habits at manipal and able to come in top 10 in manipal then manipal can be a better choice for you.

It's your decission take it wisely.

Even I know that amity sucks and like the no. of signs between du and amity put by akshay talwar.
Well I have finally decided to take up eco hons. at hansraj or hindu(in second or third cutoff list).
I would like to prepare for civil services or mba while in eco hons.

Also I hav realised that I don't want to pursue a career in engineering and was just carried away by the packages offered to the iit graduates.

I didn't study much in my class xii and my results are as follows:-

1)CBSE 92.75%

Thinking of taking eco hons. at hansraj college

or math hons. at hindu college

2)Amity-Getting 50% scholarship

3)Ipu-cet-rank-7793(sikh quota)

Should get cse at gtbit or mae at mait or eee at msit.

4)Drop a year for iit-jee 2009

This was a very eventful year for me and I was not able to study much and therefore was not able to do well in engineering exams but somehow managed good marks in boards.

So goiitians plz reply what is my best bet with suitable explanation.
