hey guys...its official...IT BHU getting converted to an IIT...the cabinet has approved it...

and the silver lining is that the clause for the conversion will be in the same bill as the one for the setting up of new IIT's...nd accourding to Business Standard newspaper..they won't use a bill but infact use an ordinance...which means it doesnt matter evn if the govt . falls ( which i hope doesn't happen...Nuke Deal FTW)...

hey...where are you from ??...im from delhi...nd i got into IT BHU too...my dad works in the government..and he went to the HRD ministry and confirmed tht its becoming an IIT...so cheers...

btw...which course have you been allotted...??

hey nalin...looks liks you and i have a lot in common..my BITS score is 301 ( although it was 295 before the revision of marks ) and my AIEEE rank is also 4403....
according to what I've heard..the clause to change IT BHU into an IIT will be in the same bill as the one for the new IIT's...so IT BHU is becoming an IIT...

so where are you ppl from...???

hey guys..i have a query.... im getting M Tech Dual degree in ceramic engineering at IT BHU...nd i wanted to know if it is possible to change from the Dual Degree to the B Tech Programme after first year...the counselling bochure says you can in one place but then contradicts itself later...nd if not the B Tech..can one change frm one branch of the dual degree to another dual degree...for eg: frm ceramic dual to electrical dual..

i've been trying to find out from loads of sources..but no one has satisfactorily been able to give an answer....

i got a score of 295..so looks to be a dual degree there too...nd if im lucky i might just manage to scrape thru the civil BE course at pilani...
