u kno thers no 1 who could guide u in this issue... if u r ready 2 face the hardships in the petroleum field....then opt for it according to your interest. u may not have any specific interest in any subject as of now. but u must have an idea what kind of life u want 2 lead. both daiict and lnmiit would give u almost the same type of life... but petroleum is different all together. if u can forgo few things...then join petroleum as per ur interest. INTEREST IS THE ESSENCE HERE. but if u want 2 settle in sme it sector..(dont only think of soft ware jobs.. thrs a lot more than that..) then go for lnmiit or daiict. as u hav already paid 4 lnmiit.. join it with no confusion.

i wouldnt say daiict is less.. i only argue lnmiit is as gud as daiict. you dont have to take a step back after joining in lnmiit. with our new director.. Dr.Dheeraj Sanghi.. who worked as a professor in cs at iitk.....im sure cse branch would have an early fruition in the instituite....as for placements.... in experts view.. not my word.. you dont have to think of them now.... these were words of the founder and director of the prestigious ISB hyderabad...he visited the campus...had an inner look at the institute...not only him... lnmiit was recommended by the dean of nit-warangal to a guy wid a rank of 6k in aieee-08. he is joinin wid the lnmiit. im not trying to attract you to the institute.. but i just wanted you to know lnmiit is a very good institute.. before you take any decission....

well.. i guess u had already paid fee with the lnmiit...... as my word.. with no doubts and confusion.. join the lnmiit..... its as gud an institution as daiict.... but did u recognise the state reservation in daiict from this year.....the only matter is lnmiit is still novice.. but its no way less.... i think u dont really need to worry about this.. join lnmiit......pppl say daiict has an edge over lnmiit... but wat in the sense does dat mean??? of the 100 strengthed 3 year batch.. almost 35 students ( a one third ) have gone abroad this summer for projects....well i agree our alumni base is not yet strong.. the very reason being its novice. but not a big thing to worry.. the institute is new with its campus and infrastructure.. but the faculty here is vastly experienced...i guess i cud convince you....

why do you have to worry about all remote branches????? you have got an excellent branch in an awesome institue...... as my word.. with no hesitation.. opt for lnmiit cse... with our new director from iitk..( he was a professor of cs in iitk..).. im sure you ppl hav an excellent scope for a great exposure.........

as my advice.. daiict and lnmiit are the colleges of same position.. but im telling this not in terms of rankings...
the fact is that lnmiit didnt take part in the rankings till now..... thats why its not placed in any ranks... but im sure itll b in one of the top institutes....
this is not my word... one parent has called me recently.. he told that he asked the dean of the nit-warangal to suggest his son a college. the dean of nit-w has told if he gets the top branches in top 3 nits, then go for them. else go for iiith, else go for lnmiit. he stated that lnmiit is the 2nd best in institutes like iiits. well ill accept daiict is as good.. but go with your branch preference.. let me remind you ece is an ever green branch.. and it in daiict aswell is a good branch. well if you are interested in ece, then you can happily come 2 lnmiit.... what i mean to say is that u dont need to take a step back thinking lnmiit is not as good a college as daiict or thapar. lnmiit is truly a great institute with great future prospects... the only problem lies with its popularity which surely with our efforts will be achieved. as for placements.. they will follow with the alumni.. let me remind you.. till now the total alumni of the college is not more than 120.. may be in a 2 or 3 years lnmiit will certainly be placed in the right rank it deserves....

if u go with experts views.... then better go for lnmiit. this is one of the few colleges which is quite popular in experts radius... but didnt reach the ppl yet. lnmiit is no doubt a great institute.. ive received a call from a parent frm warangal who has consulted the dean of nit warangal. he himself has suggested the person to go to top 3 nits, iiith or lnmiit. he told that lnmiit is the 2nd best iiit in india after iiith. for more clarification go on to goole and type " dheeraj sanghi" open the first link. thats his personal profile. by the way he was a professor in cse at iitk. and now he is the designated director of lnmiit. he wrote a few articles guiding students to choose colleges. in those he placed lnmiit at par with bits pilani, iiith, daiict in IT sector. these r enough to allege out LNMIIT is a great option for aspirants in IT field.

i suggest u to go to google and typr " dheeraj sanghi". you go to the first link visible. read the articles he has written regarding admissions into different institutes in india. by the way Dr.Dheeraj Sanghi worked as a professor of cse in iitk and he has come as a new director of lnmiit. u kno he himself stated that outside the iit system, to pursue IT, its better go to institutes like iiith, bits pilani, lnmiit, daiict, anna university and pec. well this proves the standard of education we have....

well buddy.... i dont really guide u to any institute but tell u what we actually have at lnmiit. as ive seen in a few replies.. people said its not only the faculty for an institute... yea its absolutely... but who for the gods sake has told lnmiit has nothing other than faculty???? we do have ample scope for all cultural, sports activities. we have all sorts of clubs..committees... and as some 1 has stated at bpgc they have seniors training in different aspects.. well we do have them... we have seniors training us in java.... as a latest information...... i came to know it 2day.. lnmiit was recommended by the dean of the nit-warangal.. next to the 3 top nits and the iiith. he himself has told to a person who has taken admission in cse in lnmiit. that student with no other thought is ready to come 2 lnmiit.... he himself stated dat lnmiit is da next best iiit in india after iiith.... but the only problem is popularity.... let me be clear.. in any private institution thers no derth in extra activities.. but v have been emphasising on faculty because thats one of the best parts of the college but thats not only it.. we have many more things dude...

i find many people sayins iist is a great institute.... but may i please pose a question.... how many people knew about iist till last year, when extended merit list wasnt there in picture only. well i dont deny, its certainly a good institute..... but on what basis can you all compare iist and lnmiit?? how can we say iist better than lnmiit???? the areas dealt in both these institutes is entirely different... closing at a rank of 13.5k this year..isnt it obvious that lnmiit is a good institute???(please do remember the doubled no. of seats in this institute and competition it faced from new iits, bits hyd and new admission procedure in nits..) as i already told its solely your own interest!!!

well dude.... i really cant comment on other colleges.. but being a part of lnmiit, i can only say its really a good institute. primarily it depends on which branch you may take interest in.... and take care of the place you are going to.. i mean the hostels, food, the kind of city its situated in.. all these also matter a lot... as far as lnmiit is concerned.. u must have known the faculty were all ex professors wid iitk. well thats not it.... there is nothing faculty can do ( how great they may be experienced) if the students are duds at everything. but here at lnmiit closing raank was abot 9.5 k last year it went till 13k now... you know the no. of seats almost doubled, with new iits, bits hyd and new admission procedure in nits. well if you guys say we dont have good placements...i do agree but its ony a matter of alumni...in 2 or 3 years im sure of great companies.... ita a matter of talent and standards.. which we maintain from the first day of first sem. this college is suitable more for people aiming for higher studies... can u ppl believe onethird of the present third year batch went abroad this summer for projects in foreign universities. as a whole lnmiit is a great institute .... just lacking popularity which it deserves.. its also a matter of time..... and im sure we are slowly gaining that popularity also.... jus all these queries in blogs like this proves it.many of these queries even tell me that not many people are aware of the institute properly...... well...... we will try our best to get it to people....

seems you people hav a lot of misconconeption regarding the LNMIIT. 1) the institute doesnt take part in form 2 of aieee counselling. all the admissions are based on form 1. no other ways to get admission into the institute. 2) we have permanent faculty here who worked previously wid iitk mostly. if u ppl argue they are here only for money.. i cant say anything but they r mostly retired faculty... and the institute is not perfectly private... its a joint ventutr by usha mittal foundation and rajasthan govt. i agree.. we do have visiting faculty from iits.. but for few courses only. 3) dr. Dheeraj sanghi ( who worked as professor in cse at iitk...mind u hes not a retired 1....and the designated director of lnmiit) in his personal website has written articles regarding how to select institutes. this is very useful for students attending counsellings this year. he himself stated that lnmiit is one of the best options for careers in IT. he placed lnmiit at par wid bits, iiith, daiict, etc well i recommend u ppl 2 go through that. 4) ill say lnmiit is not certainly as popular as bits or other institutes.. but its still a novice institution. but im sure..... its noways less than any reputed institution in india in any possible sphere. 5) just as an example to the exposure and opportunities we get.... one third of the present third year batch has gone abroad for projects and interns in foreign universities... well its no a less issue.... i guess this message will remove the misconceptions regardind lnmiit.....

seems you all have a lot of misconception about lnmiit... 1) we donot take part in form 2 of aieee counselling.. 2) we have permanent faculty here who worked earlier wid iitk. 3) the college need not be recognised on the name of the faculty itself......u kno in da 2007 batch the closing rank was about 9.5k. well the intake was not huge.. but this year amidst tremendous competition frm new iits, bits hyd and new admission procedure into nits, the closing rank was around 13k. the no. of students intake almost being tripled.. with 2 new branches. 4) let me state as an example for the exposure and opportunities we get.. one third of the present third year batch went abroad to do projects in foreign universities...... 5) Dr.Dheeraj Sanghi,( professor of cse in iitk and designated director for lnmiit) has written very informative articles for students appearing counsellings this year. he in his articles stated dat lnmiit is one of the best options for IT field outside iit system. 6) well at this state i agree dat lnmiit is not popular as other renowned institutes.. but im sure its noway less than any institute in any sphere........
