see an institute which advertises more is bound to be cheap and follow fake policies have we seen private institutes like BITS IIIT Hyderbad advertise?facts speak for themselves for such good places they do not need to scream out their 'GOODNESS' like VIT which claims to be the best private institution in the country yet gives loads of advertisement everywhere .CHEAP nothiing else.

see the new IITs will not have any trends ,work culture to follow and no seniors to guide and mind you all these are VERY IMPORTANT there will also be no alumni .Do consider these very important points while choosing the institute

also being at Banaras Hindu University a central university is a great boon in itself it gives you whole lot of opportunities to learn a variety of things due to cooperation within various faculties of the biggest residential university of Asia
and after upgradation you would have a double advantage of being in an IIT as well as the best central university of the country.

frankly speaking IT BHU is better than just IIT Guwahati in totality although infrastructre at Guwahati is better than that at IT BHU .
In totality IT BHU is at par with IIT Roorkee Also since from june 09 IT BHU is being upgraded to IIT status things are hoped to improve greatly.
