i have 5072 in jee
now i am hoping for foll courses thru this
ceramic engg at bhu ( closed at 4636)
ind chem (closed at 4400)
mat science and tech( closed at 4429)
environmental at dhanbad( closed around 5400)
and pharma at bhu ( around 5400 again)
what do u think i ll get?
theres process engg with mba a new courses at roorkee
do u think i have a chance there?
and i am getting civil at pec as for now
i have 13671 air and 247 in aieee so not many choices there except lnmiit,mesra,nirma ( i m not sure of these -people recommended it to me)
What shud i take?
Experts plz help i m exasperated

there is no 2nd counselling at pec
just a single counselling session.
last year all india quota finished around 10k air
so 19k has no chance

why to go both of these iits when u got relatively good stuff at the top iits
this rank is too precious to be used on roorkee or guwahati if u ask me

even if they take admissions for the students who have done preparatory courses
i dont think it can still count in for 500+ seats
that is still a large deficit to cover.As far as i have heard not many people are taken in for that courses,In fact its just a handful.
Is there any information regarding this given in the iit brochure or anywhere else?

i knw what your talking about buddy.
i too have been bewildered by all this.its quite amazing
i dont knw why there is so much hype bout the increment in seats when its just about 100.
why give out so many ranks.i have a higher rank (5072)
so these things kinda matter to me alot coz i m looking at what i can get.
i dont knw what to make of it either.why did they have to give out 7200 this year.
people say u wont get anything at my rank then what are the next 2200 people hoping for? lol a broomstick?
i dont get it.

the day of aieee paper i slept at 4 am
cudnt sleep all night and it was so frustrating
Conclusion:14k when i had never thought it wud go over 5k

does anybody have an idea about ceramic engg??
and do u think anything at IT-BHU would be better than almost everything at ISM-Dhanbad??
and how good is ISM-Dhanbad when you compare it with general colleges.
my aieee rank isnt that good(13K) so i m guessing these might be good options after all.

i have seen the openign and closing ranks for lots of times now
yaar it all depends on my state rank
and there are hardly any seats for chandigarh in the nits
i dont knw what do i see on ccb anymore
its just been a terrible result everything just went down the drain
