Q.3
4 cases r there
1------x=ynot=z here total cases r 8*7(there r 8 option fo x(or y) 7 for z
2------x=znot=y same as above
3------z=ynot=x again same as above
4------x=z=y there r 8 cases 1 for each element
total------------3*8*7 + 8 = 176

if u find it correct do rate

see budy P&C is one of the most intresting topics and a topic which one can easily do itself.

i dont know what ur problem exactly is. but igive u few tips-----

if u dont have any feel of topic then 1stly go through any basic text book

solve some simple quetions to get some feel

u might feel problem in ques involving general case ie involving "n",in such problems just take case of 1,2,3 & so on term ,& observe the trend. this will help.

if it is all about comfidence the above formula should work

hey purav it should be M/24*(a^2+b^2)

I (I1) of rectangular slab along axis perp. to plane through centre = M/12(a^2 + b^2)

it can easily be derived as follow---
I of slab about of line passing thruogh mid pt. of 2 opp. sides is M/12(a^2)
& about line through M.P. of other pair is M/12(b^2)

and by perp. axis theroem

I1=M/12(a^2 + b^2)
rest is right........

Q.-3
as function is from A to B hence all elements of A must be included
hence we see n2 has to be > n1

now we need an image for each element of A this can be done in n2Cn1 ways.

now note that for each combination there is only 1 accending order hence only 1 way.

thus required no. is n2Cn1....

nice puzzle MEKHALA

let us assume time taken to go down hill walking be A
that of up hill walking be B
down hill on horse C
& up hill on horse D

now he take following readings ----

let he is at church & go up walking & come back on horse ,by noting time gap he will get-----B+C=t1
now he might go up by horse & come back walking &will get---D+A=t2

now up & down on horse will give----C+D=t3
finally up &down walking &get-----A+B=t4

now he has 4 eq. & 4 veriable -thus knowing any 1 he can easily do his job

please rate writing such long was itself hard job

atom in 1 Kg---10^25

atom in .002 Kg-----.002*10^25
(both r per 100 min)

hence atom depositing per sec ---- .002*10^25/6000

multiplying with charge on 1 atom(ie 2*1.6*10^-19) we get the answer---

(2 * 1.6 * 10^-19 * 0.002 * 10^25)/6000 =1.067 C

according te me the answers r ----
(-4,4),(2,1),(1,-1) only
as accarging to question if @ is root then @^2 - 2 has to be other root
ie ----- if @^2-2 is root then (@^2-2)^2 - 2 also has to be the root.
and again we get {(@^2-2)^2 - 2} as root & so on.
but eq. can have at max 2 roots.
thus @^2 - 2=@ or (@^2-2)^2 - 2=@
which give above asnwers.
note here cobination of roots as 2 & -1 is not possible as if 2 is root then 4-2 should be other root thus eq. should have 2 as repeated root.

see people this can be done by taking x=f(x) & x^1/2+x^1/3+x^1/4=g(x) and proving g>f for x=5.

and the shorter method is -------
5^1/2 > 4^1/2=2
5^1/3 > (125/27)^1/3=5/3 > 1.6
5^1/4 > 4^1/4=2^1/2 > 1.4
hence 5^1/2 + 5^1/3 + 5^1/4 >2+1.4+1.6 = 5

rate if u like it
