Hi . I've filled in my preferences in the IIT counselling and hope to get geophysics or geology technology in IIT Roorkee. Can anyone please guide me regarding these courses? How are the job prospects and difficulty of the course? Is it good enough to go for instead of CSE at IIIT-H?What is the scope for growth in a career of geophysics? If i want to pursue an MBA, will a stream like geophysics that i opt for in IIT hinder my job prospects later on in my career ?

Sir I am getting around 230 marks in the JEE. After B.Tech i intend to pursue MBA from the IIMs. Which stream and in which of the iiT's would be best for me considering the fact that i would have to take extra coaching to crack the CAT ?

Well ncert is the most important book for the jee but it lacks in depth . I think you should stick to resnick for theory or go for University Physics . They have excellent theory . Just skip those topics which aren't in syllabus ..... Hope it helped you .

Kinetic energy can be conserved just before and just after the collision in case of perfectly elastic collision . Hope it helped .

It is due to the fact that N is very small and electronegative . It has greater lone pair-lone pair repulsion in molecueles . Also N does not have any vacant d-orbitals and therefore it can't expand its octet to form more than 4 bonds .

It usually depends on the kind of atom or molecule attached . If 5 simple atoms (like Cl,F...etc.) are attached to the central atom then the dipole moment will be zero . But if the attached species is unsymmetrical (like OH , CN etc.) then the dipole moment will be non zero . Hope you find this useful ...

On differentiating , we get 1+(1/x^2) which is the slope of the tangent . Now putting the value of x=1/2 we get the slope of tangent = 5 . Rate if useful !

|
complete the deriative and find the slope of the tangent
