We have People here in DA-IICT who have left BITS Pilani with mechanical branch and Goa with Computer Science branch ... and dey r more den happy dey tuk dis decison .

BITS Goa ... has BITS name dat wud help ... i dunno abt infra but hv hrd it is gud ... but da thing where it sux is Crappy faculty ... means i ws goin through BITS Goa Computer Science Dept website and was amazed to see 1-2 Phd in dere CSE Dept .. Dat sux ....

One Should  chose college based on da fact where he is getting better education ? If we compare the two college on this benchmark

1. Faculty Wise : - DAIICT Wins Hands down , Some of the Finest Phd's dat you could find anywhere in the country or perhaps world .. Including People who have done dere Phd's from UC Berkeley , UFL etc . and most imp dey have gud name outside da country hence dere Recommendation matter a lot .. if u want to do MS from Good univ abroad wid right kind of funding

2. Student quality wise : -- Hmm  BITS Goa is slightly ahead not by far  owing to the fact it has dis BITS brand associated with it .... Sill daiict aint dat far behind wid ppl here from 2K AIEEE rank to 9K wid avg hovering arnd 6-7K mark ..

3. Labs and Library : - I HAVE NOT SEEN BITS GOA so would'nt like to comment on BITS GOa , but well being pvt and well dat too supported by Reliance ADAG labs are awesome ... u wud get all kind of equipments including we have entire VLSI fabrication lab ... plus robotic lab and EHC here in DAIICT .. Library : - Well dats one thing dat rox big tym ... it's open till 2 in da nite ... and all da books are foreign editions not available in india and each one cost close to 5k buks .. and collection is amazing !!!! Trust me u r goin to fall in luv wid Library if u lyk reading dat is

4. Placements : - Dey Suck here in DA-iict .. hv to admit plcmnts r nt gud here ... i dunno abt BITS Goa .. and plcmnts dere !!!

den we have absolutely 100 % compulsory attendance system and if u actually miss classes dey punish u by hanging u upside down frm trees in da campuses{ it seems dey hv taken inspiration abt dis frm bats } (and dont worry dere r enuff trees) ... and if u r lucky may b proffs (cuz most of dem r blood sucking vampires) would  feast on u r blood ... and  actually   besides  all dis even aftr being tech cllg  ... ..

We have 4 Mhz XT computers in our computer labs with 5 and 1/4 inch floppy drives and green colored CGA  displays which we are forced use .....

entire cllg is divided into terrorists and counter terrorists and ppl waste dere tym in pseudo realistic aztec world ....

Well ok .... i hate to do this but it seems have to get my hands dirty in this fight !!!!!

Firstly to all da aspirants aspiring to join DAIICT do not listen to crap da above person has written!!! it's not true !! Most probably the person who has written dis was either thrown out of DAIICT for getting pointer below 4 or well he is not even a student of DAIICT

1. LOL !!! syllabus !!! it's probably one of the finest  course structure in da country. Course is dynamic and a lot of feedback from industry and academia is taken to improve the course structure every year . Not Having C++ in Da course structure again false .. we have entire course in Object Oriented Programming in 2nd Semester which actually teaches you OOP ( and not any language in particular cuz u had mentioned C++ ) and basically that is what is taught in Universities around da world (in fact  bfr Joining DAIICT  i was in IIIT Allahabad for 1 mnth and dey dont even have course in C++ its taught by 3rd yr ppl and proff on da very first day said WE ARE NOT HERE TO TEACH PROGRAMMING LANGUAGE YOU CAN LEARN DAT ON YOUR OWN )

2. Placements : hmmm  ok dey might not be exceptional but still dey r gud considering we hv ppl wid avg rank abt AIEEE  7K(unlike IIT A wid abt 2.5K and IITH abt 1.5K )   . Plus It's a Private University (not a gvt one plus its new ) so it wud take tym for cos to actually trust daiict . Still we had Microsoft , Texas Instrument coming last yr  ..  and highest package was 9.1 Lpa and nt 4 as u mentioned and dere r seniors working in Google , Adobe , Microsoft Research , IDC , GSPC , IT etc .

We never said we are better dan IIIT A/H but if u r not getting dem DAIICT is da next best option .You got a medicore rank in entrance exams and dats why u ended up in DAIICT but if u r not ready to  work hard and rise above mediocrity in cllg  basicaly u cannot blame cllg,admin for dis.

oh so u r cribbing abt da fact yahoo and google did not come for placements ok ... hw many ppl do deze cos take from so called top notch cllgs ???

Dere r abt 50-60 Seniors studying in some of the finest univ  arnd da wrld including Purdue , UFL , UC Berkeley , Georgia Tech , NUS , tufdel etc Plus abt 25-30 in IIM's alone from 3 batch alone .So it's not only abt placements

3.  Proffs: Proffs r only for money OMG Who dosn't want to wrk for money !!! well  do u really think proffs in IIIT H are dere oly cuz of students if qlty of students was da only criteria  we would hv had awesome proffs in NITs . Hmmm you are getting access to  so many awesome proffs wid abt 8K eee rank ..nthng can beat dat and well  da proffs r more den happy to help you out if u  approach dem dat is (by takin appointments ) basically no one is going to spoon feed you here. Gimme a brk just bcuz u dont study dat doesnt mean u wud go on abusing proffs

hmm da entire aim of 4 yr engineering program is not only to teach you tech stuff but well broaden your horizon and dats why we have humanities course here (Humanities dept is one of da best in da country ) and well if u r not ready to study and you fail you have to bear da consequence and having no backpaper is  way better at least it makes ppl study seriously.

4.  Well AICTE BS again !!! hmm ppl from DAIICT are in UC Berkeley , UFL , IIM and if dey don't have any problem wid we nt hvng AICTE approval basically we dont care abt dat shit . and ISB is also not AICTE approved and so are IIT's .

5. Smoking/Doping --  u find dat everywhr in all da campusses including iit.nt a problem limited to daiict it's way less here compared to plcs like  NIT/IIT . Warden !! LOL u hv Hostel Supervisor's office inside Hostel what else do u need .
