In case of Triphenyl amine the lone pair of electrons present on Nitrogen atome is in conjugation with benzene ring. Due to which their availibility for donation BF3 decreases . In fact lone pair is not free to form coordinate bond with BF3. on the other hand no such resonance stabilization is possible in case of Trimethyl amine. so it can be added to BF3 due to availibility of lone pairs
Catalogs Discussion Forums -> Physical Chemistry -> what is the simplest method to find the equivalent weight of a given element??? -> Go to message
This Post 5 points    (Olaaa!! Perrrfect answer.   in 1 votes )   [?]
The weight of a substance that will combine with or replace one mole of hydrogen or one-half mole of oxygen. The equivalent weight is equal to the atomic weight divided by the valence.he number of parts by weight of an element or compound which will combine with or replace, directly or indirectly, 1.008 parts by weight of hydrogen, 8.00 parts of oxygen, or the equivalent weight of any other element or compound. For all elements, the atomic weight is equal to the equivalent weight times a small whole number, called the valence of the element. An element can have more than one valence and therefore more than one equivalent weight

The size of F atom is very small and electrons already present are tightly packed and further addition of electron to F leads to repulsion and as a result of that Electron affnity of flourine is less than that of Cl

Formalin is a saturated solution of formaldehyde, water, and typically another agent, most commonly methanol.is 37% formaldehyde by weight (40% by volume), 6-13% methanol, and the rest water. Formaldehyde provides the disinfectant and bacteriacide/germacide effects of formalin. The specimens u see in the Biology Lab in Jars contains formalin, which is used to preserve them
