Ya, SORRY OF THE MISTAKE.....      the full q is

a b roots of x2-10cx-11d=0 and c,d roots of x2-10ax-11b=0. FIND a+b+c+d.

with apologies,

Q1.  Let f(x) = (1+b2)x2+2bx+1 and let m(b) be minimum value of f(x). As b varies, the range of m(b) is ?   [0,1]         (0,0.5]        [0.5,1]           (0,1]

Q2.  Let -1 <= p <= 1. identify the unique root of 4x3 -3x-p=0 which lies in the interval [0.5,1].

Q3. Let a,b be roots of x2 -10ax-11b=0. Find the value of a+b+c+d.

sir,

the best books i can quote are :
TMH n Arihant series for all subjects..

Mechanics : resnick-halliday walker(gud theory), hc verma n d.c.pandey(arihant) are excellent for prob. solving + goiit resources

Electromagnetics : NCERT(must), Resnick halliday walker, hc verma (suff.)

moreover books by A. Ghatak can also be referred(it might get higher level a bit) .

for all others.....     hc verma  n arihant r all-in-one.

Chemistry

organic : morrison- boyd, solomones, peter sykes n  o p aggarwal
inorganic:  PLZ DON'T GO FOR J D LEE.  ncert is all u need.
physical : comprehensive chem, jd lee, op tondon

moreover keep a gud numerical book like rcm n p bahadur

Mathematics

"TMH the great" OR arihant OR a das gupta only after once finishing from K C SINHA , loney etc.

Various correspondance materials r also worth a look.

NO NEED OF DIAGRAM DUDE.

See velocity of river is 5kmph and vel. of man w.r.t still water is 3kmph making  with the flow of river(taken along x -axis) so resolve all velocities in their x-y components. then on y-axis vmansin  gives resultant velocity in y-axis. so calculate time by :  d/v i.e. 500m/vman sin i.e 10 min/sin.

minimum drift: u now know the time so use in x-axis having velocities vriver & vmancos.   it sholud come as  drift= vriver +vman cos * t.

IF YOU ARE SATISFIED WITH THE SOLUTION THEN PLEASE RATE ME.

IT IS AT BOTTOM OF THIS BOX..
