Every year PICT enrolls 300 freshman students in its three 1st year Bachelor of Engineering programs and 25 undergraduate students in its 1st year Master of Engineering program. Our admission process corresponds to the norms laid down by the University of Pune. [UoP]
All students entering our 1st year Bachelor of Engineering programs are required to have passed their 12th year high school examination from an institution recognized by the University of Pune or University of London School of Examinations Board's General Certificate of Education Examination for "A" Level, or International Baccalaureate program with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English among their passing subjects, having secured at least 75% marks or corresponding credit grades in their final 12th grade/A level/ Baccalaureate examinations in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. For the Master of Computer Engineering Program you will need to have passed a 3-year or 4-year Bachelor of Engineering Degree Program from a recognized college/university. Such a Bachelor of Engineering program must include courses that correspond to those described in PICT academic courses. You will have also secured at least 55% marks in the final examination of the Bachelor of Engineering program.
All foreign students will need to be proficient in spoken & written English equivalent to or better than British Council IELTS Band 6 or TOEFL score of 550/ 213 [CBT] Criteria As per the current UoP regulations for all foreign or NRI students, aggregate marks or equivalent credits obtained by the student in any of the above examinations are the main criteria that determine the student's enrollment into PICT for the rest admission is given on CET merit. The top 300 applicants in the order of merit [marks] are admitted.
The UoP regulations also call for a quota system - specific type of students belonging to predefined social class - for whom a certain fixed number of seats are reserved.
