Match the following
z = cos x + i sin x
2 8 cos 3 x sin 5 x = a sin 8x + b sin 6x + c sin 4 x + d sin 2 x
then
Col 1 Col 2
A.) a = P.) -4
B.) b = Q.) 12
C.) c = R.) 2
D.) d = S.) -1
My confusion is that : Can we apply complex numbers here or have we got to do it using trigonometry only?

You are correct sir answer must be wrong first answer is given a.It should be d.
Thank you once again.

Ok let me tell u d answer too
Its d.) e+1

If b1 = 2 and bn = n( 1 + b n-1) n 2 ,
then [n] [ ] b n+2 / (n+2)! = ?
a.) e b.) 2e
c.) e-1 d.) e+1

I got the problem in a Narayana Rank Promoting Package.Answer given is D.
I dont know how.
|
|
|
|
|
Atleast according to me they are a little more than what has been said in the syllabus.

Are these problems for IIT JEE or any other competitives? I guess not.

In this way you will certainly come to the answer as only 4 of them are there. Now instead of providing the options give me your procedure along with the answer.

By the definition of critical points it says that the points where the derivative is 0 isnt it???So i am gettinng a different answer. But please try and help me out!
|

The number of critical points for the function f(x) = 2 sin x [ cos x ] in the interval x [ - 2 , 2 ]
a.) 6 b.) 8
c.)10 d.) 12
Please explain your answer.

There is no such criteria.....you have to cross a particular cut off marks irrespective of the marks you obtain in the individual subjects . Suppose you solve physics and chemistry all and correctly , get some 240 marks you will be all set to get an excellent rank even if you leave maths paper untouched ! But doing well in all the 3 sets the tune for a good rank.
