If I am given a choice between Jadavpur University and BIT Ranchi (same streams) then which 1 I should go for considering INFRASTRUCTURE PLACEMENTS and FACULTY?
Kindly help!!!

its a purely speculative thing but given the option u should choose bits,mesra over jadhavpur university fr its more global appeal and placements..

jadavpur is far better than bit.if u got a good rank you must go for jadavpur. the infrastructure here is comparable to IITs at kanpur,kgp and to iisc.its faculty is experienced for abt 20-25 yrs.

and just see its rankings of outlook 2006,dataquest,and india today 2007.

JADAVPUR is a much better institute than BIT mesra.......
You know that the ministry of HRD has recently picked up 7 institutes for upgradation to IIT and one of them is JADAVPUR UNIVERSITY. It has research facilities, faculties almost equal to the IITs. It is also very cost effective as it is totally and fully Govt. funded. An engineering bachelor's degree costs only less than 2500/- per year.

hey yeh bhi koi sawaal hai, jadavpur has absolutely no comparison to bit mesra.......the infrastructure there can almost match the iits.campus selection is even mor better...
