Sir, i am an IIT aspirant.......i havent joined any classes for IIT but for my State Boards instead and the portion is really different from IIT portion.......(its hardly 1/3rd)...so i have to live two parallel worlds just to keep my hopes alive..... i have M L Khanna + H C Verma + O P Agrawal + Morrison Boyd + TMH (AIEEE ONES) + Some More Random MCQ Books as also 2003 IIT Brilliant Tutorials Correspondence Course
i had solved these books (a major chunk) b4 november but then after my State Board classes started i lost touch and now its like starting from Scratch
My question is.......now what should i do now...which books should i solve considering the fact that whatever i do now must give me optimum results.cuz i cant spend much tym now (Should i do Correspondence more or the textbooks)..i am confused.....i myself dunno whether my concepts are strong or not.....whether i should start solving or start reading theory also.......i am utterly confused plus the rumours of a difficult paper next year is kinda disencouraging....

Even i am a +2 student n what i'd say is that .. if u're confused what to do then just start brushing up ur basics first.. do the basic books which ever u follow.. u'll gain more confidence that way.. nd then go on to higher level books like tmh, m l khanna, etc...
rate me if u like it!

Should i completely solve brilliants 2003 elite course first or the textbooks ?? if is some other book that i should buy.........do temme........

State board pattern is really different than JEE. Here more emphasis is on understanding and applying your knowledge. If you have prepared for JEE you can easily score well in state board, taking care to study the exam pattern properly. You have to partition your time, say 1/4th for state board and rest for JEE.Do not get confused from the various ads about books, classes, etc. Study with concentration is important, spend quality time in study and not quantity time.If fundamentals are clear, any exam will not be difficult. Read standard books like Morison, Finar for organic chemistry. After you are through with fundamentals devote time in solving questions, reason out where your answer went wrong from the answer given in the book, test material.

if u can really work hard then u can do ... like one chapter from ur board syllabus in around 1-2 days of 1 subject only at a time from the school books.. don't spend more than 2-2.5 hours in this... and now that u must be havin summer vacations so u can do a little extra.. and devote rest of the time to IIT.. as for the books.. i like h.c. verma, obj physics-arihant are good n for maths.. tmh, arihant, IA maron_calculus are good.. for chem try out Morison, disha's iit challenger, P.bahadur, r.k. bansal 4 organic and for the elite courses.. i don't think i wud be of much help here .. as i havn't joined any correspondence myself.. i'll just join the test series..

I think u should try ncert books for boards and because concepts are same u won't be finding much difficulty in solving those questions.do not follow every advice that is given to u just remember that cbse refers ncert books .now because u have been out of touch with school syllabus that s why u are feeling little nervous when u will start solving problems u will find it easy. and one more thing just keep your mind cool and remember journey to a mile begins with a step.
