it is an exponential function.
it is one of the most elementary function in mathematics.

'e' has a very significant role in mathematics.
its value is close to 2.7.........
it represents a series in itself as follows
e = 1 + 1/1 + 1/2! + 1/3! +1/4! + ..........+1/n! +........
also,
ex = 1 + x/1 + x2 /2! + x3 /3! + x4 /4! + ..........+xn /n! +........
letter e is the first alphabet of term 'exponential'

If nature were not beautiful, it would not be worth knowing, life would not be worth living. Ofcourse I do not here speak of that beauty that strikes the senses, the beauty of qualities & appearances; not that I undervalue such beauty, far from it, but it has nothing to do with science; I mean that profounder beauty which comes from the harmoniuos order of the parts, & which a pure intelligence can grasp. |
