I am in class XI. I have completed the JEE syllabus of physics and maths. Inorganic chemistry is pending. I have finished H.C.VERMA, IRODOV,ARIHANT in physics, in maths i have completed arihant, A.D.Gupta,TMH.In chemistry i have completed R.C.MUKHERJEE, o.p.tandon,Arihant,Solomons (organic). What should i do know??? i have practised & solved 27 year IIT & AIEEE papers. I have also completed the Brilliant Tutorials course(theory+ problems) Pls.advice whether is this enough or anything else is needed.I am now doing my inorganic and learning english grammar for BITSAT.

r u in XI or was that a typing mistake ? most of my frnds who study 16 hrs a day havent reached as far as u have man !! how much did u study in a day ?

even i am amazed gopi .are u speaking truth or making us fool or just boasting bcoz if u have done all this in +1 only then with same amount of study in +2 u can hope of getting AIR in top 50 in india.
even if u are in +2 then with this preparation u can aspire to be in top 500 in india(minimum rank).
now if u are thorough with what u have done then u shud now concentrate on the expected pattern of iit jee bcoz without practising extensively on those type of problems uor rank may slip to 3000-4000 due examination temprament.
and dont worry about bits english questions ! they are damn easy.
truly saying even i have not reached half of uor way.

interesting hou many hrs didu study,thats more than enough nou just just accept the challange of probs,enroll in either FIITJEE AITS or BRILLIANT ,and one more thing plz tell hou many hrs u study a day

hey ......
dude u have done a lot of stuff for being in 11th only ..... hats off
to u !!!!!!!!!!!!
but lemme give u some future guidelines ........
first of all remember that it is not about how many books u solve its
about remembering and understanding the concept behind even if u do
one or two books ...... so i'll suggest that u start revising watever
u have covered till now !!!! revision will get ur concepts even more
clarified ................
secondly start taking tests at home or at centre .......... u will get
exposed to many new experiences thru this and this will help u to
reduce ur silly mistakes.................
well in my opinion these are books are enough for jee
............provided u know them as on ur fingertips !!!!!!!!!!

r u the same person who had posted this i'm aiming to clear IIT-JEE 2008. i've learnt almost all the concepts & formulae of class XI but i'm finding gross difficulty in solving numerical problems in physics & chemistry. it is the numericals which are tested ultimately and numericals have always been a problem to me. i get very depressed as i was a merit holder in class X and other people who scored less than me are attempting numericals with raring confidence. i can understand & learn all the difficult concepts required for JEE but i'm not able to apply them. some times i feel that i'm fit only for cramming and should have taken arts group. i'm not able to solve the numericals given even in the school tests though i could clearly comprehend the meaning of even the toughest sums. whenever i see a numerical of even a small difficulty, i get stunned and demoralised and iam not able to find the way to proceed in order to crack the problem. i completely forget which formula is to be applied where(though i remember them and their contexts) and start making many silly mistakes. i'm experiencing this difficulty even in maths also. this is driving the hell out of me. please give me some serious tips in order to get out of this bad situation and start doing numericals with accuracy, speed & confidence. i've instilled a lot of hope in you . please reply

Hi guys,
Yes, iam in class XI and iam not kidding.I don;t think what i have done is a big achievement. After all, initially i had so many difficulties. Whatever i have said above i have completed in the last 5 months. In april'06 & may'06 when i started preparing for IIT JEE i was playful and did not concentrate on my studies. I failed in physics in one of my school exams after which only i realised what iam doing to myself.That day i quit my coaching (which was eating 4 hours per day) and i started seriously preparing.
I allocated each subject 2 hours per day for studying theory and 2 hours per day for solving numericals. i also read seriously during school hours.
Still i know i have a long way to know. i need to prepare also for INMO & IMO(I've also been selected in RMO). so there's a lot of work to be done.
Thanks vikalp sir for ur guidance and dear chunmunu 1234, the post was posted by me during the initial struggle.
So I Appeal to JEE aspirants, REALISE WHAT U ARE AND WHAT U ARE SUPPOSED TO DO EVERY SECOND, KEEP YOUR CONTROL OVER EVERY SECOND OF YOUR LIFE. AND U WILL FIND JEE JUST A SMALL THING AMONG MANY THINGS.
WISHING ALL ASPIRANTS GIVING JEE 2007.
