Hi everybody.My name is Raman and I have passed 1 year in BITS-Pilani(Mechanical Engineering Department) and this year I have got a rank of 2114 in IITJEE.I can get Civil at IITK, Chemical at IITR and have some chances of getting Mechanical at IITG(borderline case).Should I go for IIT or should I continue at BITS-Pilani?I have an inclination towards M.S. from U.S. after completing B.Tech.Please help.I need your help urgently.I have counselling on 21st.

I think u shd join IIT. In my opinion u can choose btw chemical at IITR or civil at IITK. These two are equally good options.

Coming to IIT will help in fetching MS in a good university

I generally would have said to stick to BITS, as it offer you a decent enuf branch and a good college, but as you have specifically mentioned your inclination for MS, I would suggest to go for IIT, for the same reason mention above by puneet.

PS - I am a VIT passed out. Are you really sure that you would be wanting to go for MS after 4 years too.... What I want to convey is that 4 years is a long period (and technical studies you might not find all that interesting to continue studying them after 4 years). If you are absolutely sure about it.... Go IIT, if a bit unsure than pilani is no bad place to be, you have already invested 1 year there and BiTS will also fetch you good enuf universities..
