hey .......i m back.........but whenever .....some important discussion is going on.....and i like it.....
look people......

every college has its own status.....dont compare any college with others....

ya i know IIT/itbhu/ism is far better   than NITs..............but whats the point.............yaar
it depends on U .....U my frnd..................U...........

with a cool mind ............take the best option u have.............considering where i can get good branch...........because u have to live ur whole life with this branch...................
so
if u r going to NIT..............hamidpur, trichy , surathkal...........oh i dont know all nits..............but whatever it is.............
as u have taken ur branch...........ur interest is there...............

that wil enhance ur skills.....u wil be getting good GPA.....(GRADING POINT AVERAGE)............and then u will be automatically getting good placements............

many people will be saying that if i take bad college and my branch .........companies will not come to that college............oh my frnd .............if companies cant come to u.........then u can go to companies.............i am saying that if companies are not coming in ur campus....then   u can apply
to any company off campus............

and u wil be getting good. placement

i am telling u three incident..........

a boy in NIT allahabad GETS 11.8 LACS package in civil................far better than any average placement in iits............(4.2lacs)..........only IIT roorkee ...........has got 14lacs.........its fine yaar..........

one more incident........

a boy in BIHAR UNIVERSITY ............graduated and also did his post graduation............in BIHAR UNIVERSITY..............getting 1.25 CRORES.......................ITS TRUTH.............

a boy does his graduation from KNIT SULTANPUR..................because he wants only to take CS........he was happy...........khush.........interested in studies.............and did MBA from IIM LUCKNOW.................now getting 28.6 LACS..............PER ANNUM...........

SO NIT IS BETTER THAN KNIT , OFCOURSE...............SO IF THEY CAN DO ?

WHY CANT U?
I M NOT AGAINST IIT............I MYSELF IS SELECTED IN IIT THIS YEAR BUT NOT WITH GOOD RANK 4000
AND I M GOING IN IIT............
BUT I WAS EXPECTING MUCH BETTER ............

POINT IS U CAN SHOW UR SKILLS AT ANY POINT OF TIME ..........MY TIME WILL COME WHEN I WILL DO MBA...........

WHENEVER I FEEL LOW............

I SAY TO ALL WHO R ABOVE ME ...." KAL TUMHARA VAKT THA ,   AAJ SE MERA HAI" AND I BEGIN TO DO MY WORK.......

i have decided to pursue MBA later....

Now...is it worth leaving IIT.....do reply honesty...

because MBA is a completely different field and IIT wud just add to ur value...

ur branch wont matter...am i right...

ya branch will not matter.........much.........but if u r doing BTECH in CS

and MBA in IT..................THIS WILL BE THE BEST.................

but if u r doing metallurhy and MBA ....it will help u but it will not as much as the former one............

so remember one point.........

BTECH is somewhat related to MBA ( though 1 % hi sahi)

i replied to ur post, cuz u wanted the views... and i never intended to make u feel small or nething.. dnt knw why u feel so.... i said that, just cuz it creates a negative impression....

moreover if m a forum expert that doesnt mean, m nt a user at goiit...m also just a person like u.... the difference just being thr that m an old one..and u r relatively new... but still i dnt mind u saying that.... u r free to say watever u want to... but the only thing i want to say... instead of asking for rates here.... solve the questions...and believe me, i'll rate u for that...

moreover, watever i have said in that post of mine, was just my opinion, nd ma'm, opinions do differ.... i still can reply to the question u asked in ur REPLIED posts.. in CAPS... but i dnt think u will get what i will mean frm them...so no use

i wont have replied u in this way ... but ur three posts against mine one, nd that too in CAPS, compelled me to do that..... m srry for that.. nd it was a mistake of mine to write those words at the end, .... M SRRY (and as u said,rather in ur words a "Forum expert" is saying srry to u... perhaps that will make u feel much better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

even i agree with prodigy_maddy.i seriously believe that a person has to choose his branch carefully coz u have to carry on with this branch 4 the next 4 yrs.prodigy is quite correct 4 his explanation about nits and it is no doubt a brand name.

so simple again i say prefer institutions in case of high rank like top 4000 (aieee)

and prefer branch after that,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

its so simple as after few nit all are equal according to their placement etc..........(not ranking)

so best of luck guys go for branch if you have low rank and otherwise institutions

and you don't have to worry about infrastructure if your rank is not good..................

you have to take what best you can get if you don't want to drop..............

imp labs should be good and faculty should be decent enough

similarly for high ranks and people in bits............. prefer institute more than branch but upto a certain limit(pilani and goa)............

for eg don't compromise electronics with chemical.................
