IT IS ALWAYS SUGGESTED THAT YOU DO MECHANICAL FIRST AND THEN SPECIALIZE IN AUTOMOBILE ENGINEERING............I AM DOING THE SAME.
LATER ON IF YOU ARE MORE INTERESTED IN THE DESIGN PART YOU CAN TRY FOR national institute of design,NID, AHMEDABAD.
I KNOW OF SABOO SIDDIQUE AND THAKUR COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING IN MUMBAI.......DON'T KNOW MORE THAN THIS.

a friend of mine went to germany last 2 last year.....he is a mech engineer and is now working in Audi......he told me that it is best if u do Mech engineering first and then do PG in Auto........doing Auto engg is probably like chosing an island to live on when u can chose a nation......ur oppurtunities are severely reduced if u do Auto engineering.....about the colleges the only college IN MUMBAI which offers it is probaly Saboo Sidique......i am not sure if anyone else does (in mumbai i.e)
