Q:- atomic number is a -number of electrons b- no of protons c- no of neutron d-all of the above (only one option correct), what would be the answers if the same Q is asked in phy and che ?

(b) no. of protons... watever the answer how can it change in phy and chem...dont act stupid..how will an answer depend on wat subject ur studying it under...

Dear.... atomic no. of a given element is same in phy and chem..
and atomic no. is equal to the no. of protons (and no. of electrons in a neutral atom)... so the ans of ur question will be no. of proton... becuase the no. of protons of an atom is generally constant, and it changes only in nuclear reactions when new elements are formed.. while no. of electrons change on merely charging the atom.... got it??
