1) In the JEE syllabus it is clearly given ' keto enol tautomerism ' . Does that mean all other types of tautomerism are not in syllabus? 3 ) Not only this it is mentioned R,S and E,Z nomenclature are excluded!! Though I've done the above mentioned excluded syllabus also, I would appreciate if you guide me what to do. Also tell me how ''much'' out of syllabus you studied when you gave JEE.

thats true that these things not included in jee course but it is advisable to have a slight idea of these topics because u have to apply the concepts in other question which are very well included in your course ...........

Yes I know, but what about valence tautomerism?

do tautomerism properly because it comes regularly in jee,o k R S nomenclature is excluded but it is in course of 12 boards,in geometrical isomerism E Z PROBLEMS MAY BE ASK SO DO IT.always remember syllabus is no bar for jee.

Other forms of tautomerism are not that difficult and there is no harm in doing it. It may be useful for u somewhere if not in JEE.
KNOWLEDGE AND HARDWORK NEVER GOES IN VAIN.
R,S &E,Z nomenclature is also very simple and it is a must in AIEEE.
