it's simple yaar! what do u want?
1)brand name with not so good branch or
2)a good branch in a so called good college?
if u want 1, then go for iit , otherwise go for bits with some good branch .further, dont worry about the placements ,both have very good placements.now the decision is left to u .would u like to cash on the iit brand name or to do a good course at bits and then get well placed.anyways, prefer bits only if u get into pilani, since it is almost equal to iit-r.

U r not joining IIT for your entry level job but for your last job.
The gap between an IITan & a non-IITan mayl increase progressively as u get on with yr career.....Don't look at what will happen 5 years hence. Think abt what will happen 25 years down the line.

hey light my frnd of bits goa who is in 2005 batch got polymer in 2006 JEE he rote JEE being in BITS and without preparing
his JEE 05 rank was 3800
jee 06 rank 3200 now ur wish whr u wanna go
